6 to 8:30 p.m.
SUNY New Paltz Lecture Center Room 100 (LC100)
121 Sojourner Way
New Paltz, NY 12561
The Humane Society of the United States and the SUNY New Paltz
Environmental Task Force invite you to join us at the SUNY New Paltz campus for
an important free discussion about how factory farming harms animals and the
environment, and how New Yorkers can work together to combat the problem.
Pollution from factory-style animal farms causes significant
damage to New York’s rivers, lakes and airways. In addition, undercover
investigations have unveiled shocking animal cruelty at these facilities in New
York and other states. While many concerned citizens are taking the important
step of reducing their consumption of meat, eggs and dairy, we can also work
together on the local and state level to enact meaningful policies to protect
animals and our planet.
The panel will feature:
• Matt Dominguez, HSUS Manager of Public Policy for Farm Animal Protection
• Brian Shapiro, HSUS New York state director
• Brian Shapiro, HSUS New York state director
• Elizabeth Moran of Environmental
Advocates of New York
• Lobbyist Jennifer Carlson of Abraham Crown & Associates
• Michael Boms, Biology
Department, SUNY New Paltz
Refreshments will be
served. Please invite your friends and family to join us at this free event!
